YMCA Center For Youth Voice
Minnesota Civic Seal Rural Initiative
The YMCA Center for Youth Voice provides opportunities for students from across Minnesota to develop the knowledge, skills and motivation to participate in their communities and in democracy.
Civic Right Fund’s grant supports the YMCA Center for Youth Voice in establishing the “Minnesota Civic Seal,” a new initiative to recognize and encourage civic participation among high school students.
Status: Across 9 active groups, more than 100 students have completed 303 civic action skills and logged more than 2,000 civic hours. Between 25-30 students earned their Civic Seal this spring and the initiative continues to exceed expectations.
Truth In Media Foundation
Promoting Idaho’s Election Integrity
The Truth In Media (TIM) Foundation is “committed to education centered around public policy and education in Idaho.”
Civic Right Fund’s grant supports projects that help TIM combat misinformation and educate Idahoans about their election system, its safeguards, and its integrity. Initiatives include creating election-related content for The Ranch Podcast, providing social media training to Idaho county clerks, producing content for counties in need, and establishing a unified statewide content-sharing system.
Status: This initiative is on track for continued success. As of June 2026, TIM has already provided training and other support a majority of the state’s county clerks. The Ranch Podcast has released 1,000 episodes and receives over 1M monthly organic views.

American Ingenuity >< Election Integrity addresses declining trust in election systems by leveraging trusted, community-based voices that skeptical audiences follow. The pilot will recruit and equip 5–15 messengers—including podcast hosts, faith leaders, local elected officials, and radio personalities—across 3–4 states, providing plain-language, evidence-based materials to address confusion around election technology. These messengers will distribute content through their platforms, ensuring it reaches skeptical audiences through credible voices, demonstrating a scalable model for rebuilding trust nationwide.

Informed Patriotism: Renewing Civic Responsibility

The Informed Patriotism Series will promote shared American identity, civic friendship, and principled dialogue across political differences. Led by the Reagan Foundation’s Center on Civility and Democracy, the initiative will host four high-profile events featuring nationally recognized thought leaders and reach broad audiences through in-person, digital, and broadcast platforms. Complemented by two national surveys on historical identity and patriotism, the project generates data-driven insights while fostering trust, gratitude, and a renewed sense of civic responsibility.

AZ Citizen 250 strengthens civic culture in Arizona by expanding the definition of citizenship beyond voting and empowering women as everyday civic leaders. AVC strengthens civic culture by equipping evangelical leaders with tools for principled political engagement and community leadership. Through programs like the J29 Coalition, Mending Division Academy, and regional conferences, the initiative trains pastors and lay leaders to counter misinformation, navigate political division, and model integrity. With a reach of over 32,500 individuals through trained leaders, the project creates a multiplier effect at the grassroots level, scaling trusted leadership networks and reinforcing healthy civic institutions within communities nationwide.

The Rural Creator Fellowship strengthens civic culture and trust in elections by rebuilding local information infrastructure in rural communities where journalism has declined. Let’s Fix This proposes a multi-phase initiative to rebuild trust in elections among disillusioned voters in Oklahoma ahead of 2026. Centered on a “Trusted Elections and Civic Engagement” track at CIVICS CON, the project combines civic education and engagement with credible messengers to demystify election systems and gather insights on voter distrust. These insights will inform a targeted digital outreach campaign and the launch of The Elections Institute, creating a sustainable pipeline of research, engagement, and trust-building efforts beyond the election cycle.
