Interested in becoming a grantee? Here’s what we’re looking for.

Civic Right Fund prioritizes supporting state and local 501(c)(3) organizations, fiscally sponsored projects, and collaborations that foster healthier civic culture and greater trust in elections at the state and local level.

Civic Right Fund supports efforts by nonprofit organizations, think tanks, civic associations, elections offices, and regional networks.

Applications are received, processed, and evaluated on a rolling basis. Grants awarded by CRF:

  • Generally support small-to-medium sized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or start-up organizations, including those that are fiscally sponsored. New projects in larger organizations are also considered.

  • Provide one-time, catalytic funding – although all grant activities do not need to be completed within 12 months of receiving the funding.

  • Tend to range from $25,000 to $100,000, although grants for smaller and larger amounts are occasionally considered.
